divisions (revitalized with new recruits) of the Canadian Corps would be called
on to take Vimy Ridge. This was a Corps tested, hardened and embittered by the
Battle of the
Somme. When they arrived they looked out on an open graveyard littered with thousands
of dead Allied soldiers they would soon have to march over. For many it was their
first glimpse

It was the first time they had all fought together and it would prove to be their
